Electronic Technician


Position Description

Electronic Technicians at Videon work closely with the Engineering team transitioning products to manufacturing. You will be responsible for production testing and troubleshooting of audio/video circuit boards to component level, including unit level testing and troubleshooting. You will also perform unit level assembly; build test fixtures, cables, and prototype models from schematics and assembly drawings; conduct functional, operational, environmental and life tests of units; analyze test data; isolate defects; repair if possible; and document. Occasional travel may be required to check functioning of newly installed equipment and evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions.

Position Requirements

  • Must be detail oriented and highly organized with ability to multi-task.
  • Must be proficient with soldering and de-soldering and have operational knowledge of test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters) and ability to read schematics and assembly drawings.
  • Must have knowledge of cable assemblies and the ability to use crimpers to assemble cables.
  • Must possess general computer skills and be quick to learn design tools navigation (Altium) for board troubleshooting.
  • Must be able to travel, able to communicate effectively, and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Associate degree in Electronics or 1-3 yrs of related work experience preferred.
