History

Videon Central was founded in 1997. Its founders were a group of co-workers who (following a difficult corporate restructuring) decided based on mutual respect and admiration to form their own company. From its earliest days, Videon benefitted from their camaraderie, developing organizational goals and a business model that positioned the company to capitalize on the digital video revolution created by early DVD technology.

The original founders’ commitment to each other and to Videon continues to this day. Employees are highly valued, both as individuals and as parts of our team. Our focus on trusting relationships is the source of a strong bond within the organization that is one of the keys to Videon’s competitive advantage. This trust extends outside the Videon family, too: we view our customers, current and potential, as partners. We recognize that each customer has unique requirements, and we strive to fulfill those requirements in every way possible.

Despite the dramatic technological advances that have taken place during Videon’s existence, the company’s commitment to customers and employees has formed a strong foundation for continued growth. Working with technologies as varied as Blu-ray Disc players, in-flight entertainment systems, and new 3D systems, Videon continually strives to remain at the forefront of technological advances in our industry.
